What are the qualifications of a program officer?
In most cases, if you want to work in an NGO, you have to have a bachelor’s / master’s degree in social sciences, political science, development studies, economics, English or BBA, management. If you want to work in a special type of program such as agriculture, health, education, degree holders are given priority in that subject.
What kind of skills and knowledge does a program officer need to have?
Must have the mentality to work in remote / char areas in the rural environment;
Since working at the field level one must have good communication skills;
Must have an overall knowledge of the program’s objectives and ways of implementing the program;
Learn how to use software like Microsoft Word, Excel;
Must have organizational skills;
